Lyn, first my question relates to the jobs adds on Just Helicopters. I RARELY go over there for anything other than the jobs section. So that is why I'm posting here, I do not want to try and navigate to the right folder over there.

Anyway, my question/suggestion is this, can you make it known to the companies that place the adds, that their adds will be deleted after 60 days or so, and that they need to renew them if it is not filled, then this means of course you'll have to program the site to delete adds older than 60 days. It would keep the jobs more fresh and not cause one to waste time replying to adds that the position is already filled. Would certainly cut down on the time it takes to search for available jobs too, nor wondering if that 6 month old job may possibly still be open, or the 90 day old one either. <_>

Don't know if that can be done or of it is to much work, but figured I'd ask, all you can say is yes or no. :P ;)

Thanks. :)

Howdy. sorry for my delay. Actually all ads posted to JH and VR have a 100 day runtime. Ads are posted to JH and VR from one spot and they choose where they want their ad to run. The employers themselves pay for that and they have the ability to delete the ad themselves.......althought they rarely do. So what I have is a "100 day button" in my backend admin area. Ever so often I click it and delete the ads older than 100 days. 90 - 100 days is what the employers expect and what they pay for. They even get emails telling them how to delete their own ad.....but do not. This is why I came up with the 100 day button. Perhaps I can click the 100 day button more often. Personally I would not pay attention to an ad more than 5 weeks old.

Also, it is a moot point because by October 15 2008 justhelicopters.com and helicoptersalaries.com will be scrapped and all new sites launched. Justhelicopters.tv will also be launched then as well. As you know VR has undergone a transformation and there is more to come. I am basically spending 10's of thousands of $$ to take my 4 websites to all new levels as well as get them all on one technology platform.

Hope that answers your Q and thanks for taking the time!

Ok, very cool, thanks for the reply.

I don't know if you know this either, and whether or not you change it now or on the new launch sites, but figured I'd let you know now so it won't happen on the new ones if you decide not to fix it right now, BUT what happens is, when you try to click on the links to the companies website, it does not work because here is an example of what the browser tries to open when you click on a web link.......

http://www.justhelicopters.com/employment/zipover.com is what opens and you get an error message, what I have to do is go up and delete the just helicopters portion and refresh to get it to open at the proper addy of http://www.zipover.com/

Same with most of the company websites in the pilot job adds.

http://www.justhelicopters.com/employment/...khelicopter.com

See how it is double www. insert addy here dot com'ed?

Thanks again Lyn
