Survey ENG Minimum flight altitude

Recommended Posts

there isnt one.. depending on the pilot and they're flying style, will depend on what altitude. here in Denver, most ENG pilot hover OGE so they are anywhere from 800 - 1500 ft AGL.

No minimum except per their 135 OpsSpecs. No less than 500AGL usually, typically more like 700-800 for us. Minimums go up at night for us.

It all depends on the angle of the shot needed and the altitude & angle to beam it back to the station; with the wind on top of it all, plus stacking with the other stations' helicopters. Finding that sweet spot determines the altitude as long as you're above the safe minimum for the area.
