Flyers1966
Great sight...Newbie here Looking to get some reviews/insight on two local flight schools... Group 3 Aviation in Van Nuys, CAandUniversal Air Academy in EL Monte, CA I have been to both for a visit-just wondering if there is anyone out there with real experience at either of these schools Thanks
JDHelicopterPilot
Heard good feedback about Group 3. My Chief Pilot I used to work with went and instructed there. He had good things to say. Haven't heard much about Universal except that it's expensive. JD
rotor91
Group 3 is a 141 school, and Claudia & Peter run a tight ship. I flew there in the mid 90's, and really enjoyed it. Although they made some new rules, which I wasn't happy with. I understand why, but nonetheless. Rule: passenger door on at all times, VNY in August....very HOT! I moved to the S.Bay, so the commute would be too far for me. Jason...who's the chief pilot?? FB me when you have time! I FB Glenn White....super nice guy!
