Not free but here is a must read for all new pilots, at least in my opinion. Everyone I have spoken to has said it is well worth buying.

Fatal Traps

Nice one, AllJeep.  Just printed Aviation Weather Services last week. (Misusing company paper...) $17 is $17..

"Hmmmm... Case of Beer, or Av Weather Services?"  Both!

I haven't seen the new Instrument PTS, though...

I have no idea what you are talking about, so here's a bunny with a pancake on his head.

This is just the main page of the site AllJeep is referencing above, but the 61 and 141 FAQ's are down on the right side under designee information.  Written by the main man, so next time you are arguing over what a FAR really means, look here...  More FAA stuff:blues:

Just came accross this today:

This page has the "Robinson R22 Flight Training Guide", a great study guide for your PPL Oral Exam, radio calls and an R22 quiz. All of which is either in PDF or .doc format for download.

These suggestions and links are priceless. I can say I have all the tools I need to finish my private rotor class license. I can honestly say I was apprensive as to what I was getting into. However I have a new outlook with full confidense. Thanks for all of the great information.

The FAA has updated its web site, it's now much easier to navigate.
Check it out: http://www.faa.gov/

Here is the new link to the FAA 'Handbooks & Manuals' page:

not free but lot of places to shop.

I've been shopping around for the Jeppesen 300CB standard training kit.

too my dismay those claiming to be "Discount" shops have the highest prices.

here is some of what I found

helicoptersonly.com $149.95

marvgolden.com $210.40

tagpilotsupply.com $199.99

avshop.com $227.95

Jeppesen.com $221.50

mypilotstore.com $210.40

avidaviator.com $210.45

store.aircraftinvestmentgroup.com $210.40

in conclusion, if you're looking to buy the kit go to helicoptersonly.com

hope this helps those of us who wish to spend wisely :D
