bqmassey
Congrats! Glad to hear it, even if you are flying at ULA Seriously. Going from land-based mammal to private pilot is the biggest step in the whole process, it's an accomplishment! Everything from here on is just learning a little more and flying a little better.

gary-mike
Thanks everyone! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving feast. I'm not so sure about this next step, I'll really miss the great views with them foggles on. I'm sure it will have its own fun points too though.

I know you had to wait to start flying/training. Congrats on attaining your Private Certificate. Send me an email and I will attach a great IFR study guide to help you own your Instrument rating training. Mike

JDHelicopterPilot
Thanks everyone! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving feast. I'm not so sure about this next step, I'll really miss the great views with them foggles on. I'm sure it will have its own fun points too though. Are you kidding? The best view is seeing those runway lights appear out of the fog at 3am on an ILS to minimums. Being able to then take my finger off the Go-around button is nice. Second best, asking your instructor when arriving at ILS minimums if you see the runway. Of course he will say no and missed approach you go...... I love IFR. Just saying.
