Poll question on your annual flight hours . . .

Average for EMS is 150-200 annual. I like 400-500 except that in this job, that would mean being assigned or doing paperwork all day, every day. Before computers, it was one form after a run, weekly and monthly paper reports.

I have flown 325-350 hours per year, consistently for the past 15 years. That amount is just about right; not enough to be too over worked, not so little as to be bored and 'pacing around the hangar.' Besides, at this point in my career and age, anything more than 400 hours a year hurts too much anyway.....

Two years straight of pipelining, 2500 hours flown. It was a good ride, but I'm glad that chapter is closed! My lower back and hearing will never be the same...

Holy cow 280! Thats a lot of sitting! Are the enstroms like the robinsons, where the fuel range is about an hour and a half longer than the seat comfort?

What headset do you use?

I am struggling to get 10 hours a month right now. And heading into the cold weather months things are not looking up.

I have had years of 700 hours or more and prefer those. I don't know how much longer I can last at 120 hours a year.

Consider getting dual rated. I added a f/w license (Comm/IR) and went from flying pistons to turboprops in a few years. I also fly a 300c for another guy doing some instruction and ranch type flying. One of the turboprop owners now has a 206 that I fly as well. I fly 500 hrs/yr. Never would have happened had I not decided to add the fixed wing ratings.

Met a lot of people along the way because everyone I've flown for puts my name out to other aircraft owners. It has really snowballed for me. It could for you too. Just have to keep a good attitude and a good rep. Good things will happen.

Just my 2 cents.

Coming up to 600 hrs so far this year. wrapping up 10 1/2 years in the Gulf of Mexico and Angola, and averaged 500-550 a year.

But going EMS next, so that will plummet. More time, mebbe, to scribble and finally finish that second novel. Burn out my battered laptop.

I found up to 5-6 hours a day regularly, that I thoroughly enjoyed. Start pushing me to do 7 or 7.5 hours a day, every day, maybe 7 hours... 57 minutes... and I somehow start feeling... grumpy. Not as fresh. Just me.

2500 in 2 years...?

Holy buttocks...!?
