firepilot42
Its probably because Louisiana is the armpit of America. Oh and have you ever stopped in Leesville?
I3uller
I only spent time at Polk for JRTC and that's all I needed to know I want to stay away from there at all costs.
akscott60
Ironically enough, after my JRTC rotation, a couple dudes in my Troop really want to fly Gator.

d10
If you're from around there and you like the area then I'm sure you'll like the post. You have to realize that most people don't want to live in rural LA. That's the only reason most people never want to be stationed there.
Ardo09203
Armpit is better than a$$holeTrue, that would defiantly be California No clue why people don't like it (must be yuppie folk),guess when your born here you just get used to most of it. I assure you, show's like duck dynasty and swamp "insert whatever here" do a terrible job of portraying actual life in Louisiana. I guess it's too bad all the big money in the helicopter industry is centralized around rural Louisiana. Look's like some people will have a hard time adjusting in the event they get out and look to purse work elsewhere as a pilot.

lee122485
I'm kind of fond of Fort Drum and I'm from south Ga. I was there for 6 years so I guess it kind of grew on me. The summers are awesome up there. Winters can be harsh and obnoxious but if you're into winter activities then it's a prime location. 13A add a 5 please
What OCONUS locations are there and for what air frames? I didn't know Japan was an option. Just got selected for WOFT so still have a ways to go before picking an airframe and duty station, so just curious for now. Also for places like Germany, is there just one duty station, or multiple? Anywhere else in Europe? Thanks!
tangowhiskey
There's a very small, like company level, vip 60 unit in Japan. Germany has a few 60s left as well. Other than that it's Egypt and Korea.
Thedude
Germany still has a CAB- stationed there. 60s can go to Honduras for a year unaccompanied tour as well.
