Central Virginia R44 Helicopter Time, $195 an hour plus fuel

Recommended Posts

I own a great flying R44 Astro that will be flown up and down the east coast and around central Virginia this summer. If you need cheap PIC time, I can sell you time for $195 per hour plus fuel.

Please CALL me at (434) 841-8405 and we can discuss further.

Please, no PM's or emails. I'm rarely on the internet.

This is a really nice ship and Im located between Lynchburg and Roanoke Virginia.

If you need an instructor, we can provide a high- time pro for $25 an hour.

Thank you.

PS

Please call me at (434) 841-8405, no PM's or emails.

I feel like I just got caught up in a bad car sales bait and switch add.......

$185 or $195 an hour???? Its confusing. Like flying ten degrees off course for an hour and finding yourself lost and no idea why.....

That offer is only good for the next 5 minutes, if you call back in 10 minutes it will be too late and you'll be paying 225 an hour and if I have to get on the internet to book it "which I rarely do" it will be an additional 10. by the way, you have to rent the cyclic and collective separately and I don't supply them.

But wait, there's more! Call in the next 30 seconds and you can have a buddy in the backseat for free! Just pay $5.95 S&H (sightseeing & hardship).

I don't like getting shipped. Now getting "handled"...

To the posters here who have made fun of my offer: pick up the phone and call. But please do not make demeaning remarks about my offer.

I am a long time helicopter owner who doesn't fly much and my R44 just sits in a hanger. I have a friend who is a CFI who is available on notice. He flies in the GOM and when he is off, he can fly with anyone who leases my ship.

And FYI:

I have had three pilots lease from me. So again, pick up the phone and call.

I suspect most of the posters here who have wasted their time with sarcasm couldn't afford $1.95 an hour.

Did you fellas have some interesting phone calls...or something?

No, they didn't have anything at all because they didn't call me.

They're just wasting time as they foolishly mock everything.

Sad lives.

....

Oh boy, someone is running out of cash and is desperately looking for people to cover his annual helicopter costs....

Also he said his helicopter is / will be flying up and down the coast, so that sounds like someone else is "hopefully" paying for that already.

AD13, if you like to come across Iike you were helping low time pilots, try to give those pilots some free ($$$) flight time.

Other members on this forum let low time pilots fly along for free on turbine helicopters in the past....just saying.

You only posted a snippet of my entire post. The part you quoted in its entirety said:

"To the posters here who have made fun of my offer: pick up the phone and call. But please do not make demeaning posts about my offer....I have had three pilots lease from me, so again, pick up the phone and call."

My point was obvious. I'm listing my phone number, so before someone intimates that my offer isn't legit, couldn't they simply call me? But then, that wouldn't be any fun, would it? Nah, they'd rather post crass remarks

about something or someone they know nothing about.

And furthermore, I'm not trying to "come across" as anything. This forum is called "Helicopter Ferry Flights, Time Building, and Flying Clubs". I see nothing about Free Flying in that title, do you?

Last thing to you, Falko:

My number is clearly posted above, making it very easy to get my name. So if I were you I'd be very, very careful about making libelous comments. And you made a big one.

Don't post things that are not true. Bad, bad idea.

Wow.. I made fun of the post because the title had one price, and the post had a completly different price. Everyone noticed....funny you took this long to edit it.

As far as my wallet? I paid cash for my training,.... Hmmm cant afford it???

There was a ten dollar difference. At the time I couldn't figure out how to edit the post.

How many aircraft do you own? Zero, I'd wager.

Well, it's not cheap: I'm guessing $260 an hour and if you add the instructor, $285. The guy seems straight up and there's no reason to piss and moan about the ten bucks. If it works for you, do it. If it doesn't, don't. Who cares why he's doing it? It's his helicopter, it's your money.

I've heard a few people on here say they gave away some free turbine ferry time, but I've never heard a word from somebody that actually got any.

I took a week off of training when my primary CFi helped ferry a bell from TX to Idaho, didnt pay anything to ferry it. He enjoyd the time spent, and it was fun to see the photos...thats got to be close enough to someone saying it??

I wonder where else in the US one can lease an R44 with instructor for less than $300 an hour? I disagree, that is pretty inexpensive. Particularly with no minimum hours.

I had a guy from Ohio come down for two weeks and flew about 60 or 70 hours. Two different folks from NY who stayed about ten days and flew about 20 hours each.

We have another maybe slated for June. Most of the flying is around Central Virginia, Myrtle Beach, etc. Wherever you want to go.
