I concur with Creep us AD folks don't do the in person board that's why there are different packet types. AD, reserves, guard, and civvie each is essentially the same plus or minus a couple pieces of paperwork. Or

As far as I know, the only board we AD folks go to is the the actual USAREC board, which we don't physically attend. I hope I'm not wrong here, otherwise I'm missing something haha.

Ha well thank you, I hope so but you never know, anything can happen.

From what I researched and understand, the Battalion Commander's LOR for AD guys takes the place of the physical board that WOFT guys attend, since he is giving his endorsement through the letter.

Ok so I'm new on this forum, but I have my packet in board ready status and was interested to see how I stack up. Here are my stats:

AGE-28

GT-112

SIFT-49

APFT-272

Physical good to go no waivers

LORS- Company CDR, BN CDR, CW3 Maint tech, CW5 Apache Pilot

Excellent NCOERS

OTHER- Active duty, SGT(p), 4 deployments

I am hoping that I have a fighting chance to get selected but after looking at other posts I'm not that sure. Does anyone have an rough estimate on how many applicants there are on any given board? I'm curious to know how many people I'm competing against. Also, I don't have any college- how much do you think that's going to hurt me?

Otherwise if anyone wants to throw their two cents about my stats it's more than welcome!

Any one having trouble getting on USAREC's website? or any Army.mil website for that matter?

Also I believe the deadline for AD for the Nov board is this week, hope everyone got everything in they needed.

I would like some clarification as i beleive i screwed the pooch on this one. My recruiter (in an attempt to ensure men we had time to get my packet submitted said that "the cutoff for the Nov Board is Nov 7th". This is completely contradicted on the warrent board information website.

2nd question, if in fact my recruiter gave me bad information as a suspect, is there a chance that the packet can be pulled forward into the Nov board if approved and submitted in the next few weeks?

The packet cutoff for a board listed on the USAREC website is not the actual cutoff date. I've heard of people submit it a week before the board and get selected.

Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know when you hear back about your packet after the WO Recruiters review it and send it to USAREC for second level quality control? I hate uncertainty and the lack of clarity on the process.

I called my regional recruiter, and gave them my SSN and he looked up the status of my packet. This was prolly a week after submission and I was "board ready". You can look up who to call on the USAREC website.

I was told that mine was submitted to USAREC by my recruiters. As far as civilians go, they said its not something that gets emailed anymore like the USAREC site says, so I'm going to assume thats for AD only. I was told everything gets scanned into the system and they email USAREC basically saying its ready to go but dont compile it into one PDF like they used to? Essentially the documents are pulled by USAREC from your profile once they receive the email saying its ready. Not sure how much truth to this but thats what I was told.

Thank you all for your input,

As for the deadline on the website thank you for the clarification.

Here is some additional information i have not previously been able to find and have been able to track down today.

Getting your disability compensation suspended, (Mine is 10%)... According to the VA National Service Office (NSO) in order to suspend your benefits you are required to provide a statement from your commanding officer stating that you intend to reenlist in Active Duty and are required to suspend you disability. it must also have a written letter from member with the statement "Please Stop VA Benefits for Members Name. All documents must be signed and dated,

This information is derived from Kim at the National Service Office in Oklahoma.

Seems inaccurate to me but that is what i was told. after that you have to fax the statement complete with signature and contact info to the NCO for approval.

AD Air Force currently stationed in Europe which is why my surgery was completed by the army, Landsthul is the only local that does it over here . Also I am doing my flight physical at an army base as well it's just easier in the long run then trying to get AF flight med to pull their heads out their assets plus it's easier for them to send it to Rucker . Creep I will be in touch

Good Idea! After my USAF flight surgeon "signed off" on my flight physical, the super for Flight med said they wold not submit it due to it being used for Army rather than USAF!
