Ardo09203
First off, this has nothing to do with flight school, selection, woft, or anything aviation related for that matter. I have a question about pay, and since this is the only military related forum I figured I'd post it here. Joined LA ARNG in May, ship at the end of this month. I have a wife and daughter. From everthing I am reading I qualify for Family Separation Allowance after 30 days of being gone while at BCT/AIT (I had to enlist before applying to flight school) in addition to Base Pay and BAH. However, My RSP cadre both (SSG and Contractor) say that I don't get Separation Pay. I'm 99% sure I do, but was just curious what I should do since they say I don't. I hate to be the guy who asks them multiple times about somthing they are pretty addimant about. I hate to go over thier head and ask someone else. Is this discussed with the people in BCT during reception? If so I'll just leave it alone and wait until I get to training and work it out then. Ardo09203
For anyone wondering, the answer is yes. You do get it, and it is discussed when you go through PAB at reception.
