Astro
On the San Francisco TAC it took them 14 years to add the Giants ball park (and that was by special request). Candlestick Park where the 49ers used to play, is going to be demolished. So how long do you think it'll take them to take it off the chart? aeroscout
A good rule of thumb with a government estimate is to double it. That turns out to be pretty accurate. 14 years to put it on you say ?
Astro
Yep, after I asked them why it wasn't on there. I'm wondering now if I should let them know that the Bay Meadows race track (which is still on the chart) was demolished a couple of years or so ago and replaced by housing and commercial space? Its only a VFR waypoint! Sometimes I wonder why I buy a new chart every 6 months?
rotornut67
It never ceases to amaze me, its actually comical how slowly the government's wheels turn. In the AFD it still lists the old Airport managers phone number (he's only been gone for 6 years).
