On the schedule in B-Co, academics for the first LUH72 will start 10Dec.

Earl Doty, right now he's on leave and we have Paul Madrid.

I just saw him two weeks ago up in ozark at Rodeo. Great instructor. Hilarious guy. Are you all on mornings or afternoons this week? I gotta stop by and say hi

Academics will start mid December. First flight line day is 7 Jan 16

Know what class that is for? Must be 002 or 003. I'm going to be class 004 reporting 12NOV and 10DEC academics and 7JAN first flight seem to early for me to make with all of WOBC and SERE to complete first

I'm trying to get the 5&9's started and this is making it difficult lol

Any ideas if they're just doing one class on the 72s for now or if they have enough aircraft/IPs for multiple classes?

How often are the classes? I should be done with WOBC on 14Dec, so after SERE, I'd be looking at flight academics around 11Jan or so (I think?). I know it's pretty hard to predict, but like I said, I'd love to show up knowing the 5&9's already so I can focus on learning the new material

You aren't going to know anything until you are done with SERE. And even then, you may not find out which class you will be in for a while. If you aren't done with WOBC until December, you won't be doing SERE until January. So at the earliest you will start common core in February... If you are active duty, probably not until much later...

Well, I'm NG, so hopefully I won't start much later than Feb. But thanks for the advice. Better just get familiar with both and focus on the 67 since I'll have a 75% chance

Ill try and remember to look at the board when I go in today and see if there are any SERE classes after 14DEC. I would be surprised if there was with Christmas exodus. Being NG will definitely boost you through a lot faster. If you start common core in February, there are two classes. The first class in Feb is TH67, the second class in Feb is LUH72.

Just wait on the 5 and 9s. It doesn't take that long to learn them. I feel like a broken record. The "new material" IS your 5s and 9s.

I'm willing to wait on those, but I want to study something else then. Doesn't make sense to waste a month. Start on areomed/aerodynamics?

Edit: But, to stop hijacking this thread, can someone point me to the correct thread with the answer of what to study after WOCS, before WOBC?

You could...or you could busy yourself with hobbies and mini road trips and enjoying this rare time of nice weather here.

I'm never gonna bash someone who wants to get ahead, I was that person, but you've gotta enjoy whatever free time you have now because once you're in the course you'll have none. Plus, you'll forget pretty much everything during SERE. I'd save the studying for about a month before your actual class date, AND after SERE, whichever is later. Remember, the first couple weeks are academics and not flight line.

Just saw your edit. Pre-WOBC...well I went through the old BOLC system so someone like Stocktrader will probably be better suited to answer that question, but you could start looking at CVID (combat vehicle identification), if you're a street-to-seater then look at how a CAB is organized and broken down, and the symbology for it. Those are the only things that stand out in my mind, but that was well over a year ago.

Murphy's Law, which should be renamed B Co's law, is that you'll get whichever airframe you *didn't* study for. It never fails.
