akscott60
Lol hey thanks to all the contractors riding around in their gators and trucks, we usually get the maintenance issue fixed. I swear whenever we had a maintenance issue there would be about 10 maintenance guys to show up to help fix it haha Ive never had an issue with Rucker MX, in the 58D, 47D or 47F. Yall do good work. cwil7280
Word on the street is that Warrants had 1 C-12, 3 64's, and 3 60's. C-12 went to top of class Not sure about LT's

I wonder why there is such a desire for C-12. That's the last thing I would want to fly!
Cantankerously
Interesting. I wonder why there is such a desire for C-12. That's the last thing I would want to fly!Because of the civilian jobs available for fixed wing time.
akscott60
No one made CW5 this board in FW.Almost no one made CW4 this board in FW. Think about that.

akscott60
Yup, as long as you get that 1500hrs.
Velocity173
Yup, as long as you get that 1500hrs.Yeah I gotta friend (CW3) who went FW and getting forced out with not enough FW hrs. He won't be going to some captain position. Maybe corporate or FO at a regional but no captain position. Just as many RW jobs out there as FW. Just depends in what type of flying you want to do. 01CelicaGTS
I think a lot of people overestimate the number of hours you'll fly in the Army, and underestimate the hours required to get a job in the civilian market.

SBuzzkill
Doesn't change the fact that you're still better off going Army. You just have to plan accordingly.
Cantankerously
Yup, as long as you get that 1500hrs.750 for that restricted ATP.
akscott60
Yup. And 750 hours of King Air time will get you right into the right seat of an ERJ145 making 22k a year. FW is not a golden ticket or anything.
KING
It also does not matter if you have 5k more hours than the next guy. If they have been with the airline longer, well, guess who has the seniority.
akscott60
Oh sure. My father is a 777 Captain at a Major. I grew up around the airline industry...
napoleonpp
I know absolutely nothing about the FW community but it seems like it would be a pretty chill and relaxing job. Then again the Army does complicate and try to ruin everything. Like I said I dont have any experience in it and I'm glad I chose the helicopter I did. Just the way I think, along most guys probably do, about FW. Though that would suck to be pushed out with not enough hours to secure a decent job!
