Seminole
holy sh*t that was difficult Glad you went through four attempts to bring us this gold. Granted I need to get selected first, but I've been wondering about this breakdown for ages.

Spitfirepeter
What's the latest selection results? I heard it was 1x47, 2x64 and the rest Blackhawks.
amp
That’s true. WO was 1x47, which went first I believe. 2x64s next, then 60. CO was 1x47 first, then all 60s. It was a 67 selection so no option for c12.

Seminole
*Sees 4 C-12s, blood curdling scream* I hope they fill the FW deficit by the time I get to airframe selection.
future_aviator
*Sees 4 C-12s, blood curdling scream* I hope they fill the FW deficit by the time I get to airframe selection.Whats up with the C-12? Is it a bad airframe to get into? Never realized a fixed wing would be an option
Seaturtle
I haven't heard anything bad about it but I've had very minimal exposure. I have always been fascinated by rotary wing aircraft, but FW seems almost equally amazing. Any opportunity to fly really.
JH11B
Todays selectionFor the WOs it went 47, 60, C-12 x2, 60, last 2 C-12s the 64 then 60s
Anatalias
For the WOs it went 47, 60, C-12 x2, 60, last 2 C-12s the 64 then 60s I love seeing how completely random these orders always are. What goes first in one selection doesn't go first in another. Really shows the diversity of the field.
Seminole
Whats up with the C-12? Is it a bad airframe to get into? Never realized a fixed wing would be an optionIts a great airframe, but fixed wing is not the mission Id prefer to fly. I came to the army specifically for rotary wing aviation. Shadowlurker
Crazy all 3 47s went last. Not really. They took all the funding away from upgrading 47s, so it makes sense that no one wants that platform anymore.

Shadowlurker
How does that make sense? Which part, them discontinuing Block II upgrades on 47F prior to having a viable replacement or the suggestion that people would rather go with 60M/Vs that are still getting upgrades prior to FARA and FLRAA taking their place, despite the fact that that goalpost is substantially closer? Seminole
Not really. They took all the funding away from upgrading 47s, so it makes sense that no one wants that platform anymore. My two cents; thats a rational explanation but I would imagine there are still going to be guys that want 47s for the power and lack of LTE considerations. Still an incredibly capable airframe and desirable asset. Right? Opinions always open to change pending new information (such as the 47 upgrade hault, first I had heard of it)
