Jeff
I started a new flight school in the Cleveland, Ohio, area Fitch Aerospace, Inc. I'm looking for someone who would like to leaseback a helicopter to us, preferably a R-22, but other trainers are welcome. You don't have to live in this area, but you must be willing to keep your helicopter here. PM me here or via the website if you're interested. http://www.fitchaerospace.com
Goldy
Touchstone, Capitol or Spitzer....covers about 90% of leasebacks.
Boatpix
I have a couple of helicopters and students in the Cleveland and surrounding area. I could lease you a helicopter but wouldn't you be, like, competing with me?
Jeff
Not necessarily. If you lease me a helicopter, you make money every time I fly it. If I lease a helicopter from someone else, then every hour I fly is an hour you could have potentially made money on. Not that there's anything wrong with the way Boatpix does training, but it isn't for everyone. I looked into it myself once, but the minimum obligation I would have had to make was more than what I needed. My training structure is different, which appeals to different people. So I see you leasing me a helicopter as more of a joint venture than a competitive relationship. Edited July 18, 2015 by Jeff
Boatpix
As I have helicopters, students and guaranteed jobs for pilots in Cleveland and we are flying right now in Cleveland what exactly are you going to offer them. Certainly not jobs as you don't even have a helicopter. Nor really a plan. My helicopter is paid for and you want to lease it? To compete with me to train students? An we have a 30 year history of putting everyone into a job. Sounds like when you checked into my operation you should have joined it. The key to this industry is to get the CFI's into a first job and we have them taking boat pictures. Worked for 30 years.
rotormandan
My guess is what he has to offer isn't selling jobs. Be careful hiring everyone. You might end up hiring a fellon. And who wants to get into a helicopter after it was flown by such an untrustworthy person right?
