New Flight School

Jeff

Recommended Posts

I started a new flight school in the Cleveland, Ohio, area Fitch Aerospace, Inc. I'm looking for someone who would like to leaseback a helicopter to us, preferably a R-22, but other trainers are welcome. You don't have to live in this area, but you must be willing to keep your helicopter here. PM me here or via the website if you're interested.

The web site says you offer accelerated training.

In your helicopter programs, what is that?

Accelerated training is where you sign up for a course and train every day, as opposed to taking a lesson here and there until you're finally trained with way over the FAA minimum.

I looked at your company website (Helicopter SBT), and I am a big proponent of SBT. Perhaps we can work together at some point.

We will also manufacture and sell aircraft of many types.

Say what?

It's a company that claims to manufacture aircraft of many types, and which offers helicopter and airplane training, including seaplane and multi-engine, but which has no aircraft?

Is that like a restaurant that opens up with cardboard pictures of the food in place of an actual kitchen?

Have you got an actual hangar or building, and actual personnel?

Why is it that you can't post without insulting, name calling, or simply sounding dumber than the last time?

Why is it that you can't contribute?

Visit the website, and READ:

"Fitch Aerospace, Inc. will soon provide pilot training, commercial air services, aircraft maintenance, airport management, and advanced research. We will also manufacture and sell aircraft of many types.
Pilot training will include accelerated training in helicopters and multi-engine airplanes and seaplanes. We will also be able to provide the authorized training for Airline Transport Pilot as required by FAR 61.156.
Commercial air services will include aerial photography, electronic news gathering, search and rescue, law enforcement assistance, agricultural surveys, and just about any need you have that can be done from the air." --http://www.fitchaerospace.com(accessed 4-15-2015 @ 2248z)
You quoted me quoting the website, and call that "naysaying," do you?
The website appears to advertise a business that doesn't exist. It's charter service is actually charter brokering (taking money from a client to charter a flight through another company), and the link the the charter service refers the viewer back to the same site, with no information. Asking for public funding on a company website like that, especially an incomplete website without anything to offer that's advertised, as well as dubious claims (manufacturing aircraft of many types), is a bit much.
Additionally they claim to be able to provide the training under 14 CFR 61.156 for the multi-engine airplane ATP, which requires the use of a Level C simulator for an airplane type in excess of 40,000 lbs. Aside form no citations on the site noting the aircraft that are available for training, there's no reference to the availability of a simulator.
Naysaying? No. Facts. You understand the difference, don't you?

Oh i forgot, it has to be an FAA reg B4 you can become the "expertbug"

oh,, and name calling? what name did i call you that insulted you?

Oh and one more thing,, why don't you post who you really are, instead of bragging of all your worldly flying experience?

Where's your name? Like so many posters who bitch and whine that my name isn't cited, most posters don't post with their name, and...neither do you. Go figure.

Worldly flying experience; you see any "bragging" or mention of "worldly fying experience" in this thread? Your reading comprehension continues to suffer.

So speaking the truth and quoting is naysaying, in your book. Not really very surprising.

Who wants to be first to donate money to the startup company with so many claims? Aside from a flight training operation, they will be manufacturing aircraft of many types? Offering services, but the charter will be brokered out...through a company which doesn't exist, either. What they do have is an incomplete website, and here they are, to announce the new business...that doesn't exist.

Got to love aviation. Got to love it.

Did you click on the button and donate, yet?

It was posted for no reason then, or it was posted in a forum to invite comment?

Don't post the material if comment isn't desired. It's very simple.

The poster stated that he or she is opening a flight school and posted the link to the web site. The link contains numerous errors, not the least of which is that the web site was created before the business; it exists not to advertise what the business has to offer, but to ask for money.

The poster entered here not telling us about the flight training he offers, but to ask for money.

How might you be contributing to, or addressing the thread subject, then?

How did your comments in the previous post have anything to do with the OP, or advertising a business that doesn't really exist except to start trying to raise money to get it going, or errors on the site, etc? Nothing

I think that it the whole premise with that site and company is a bit silly actually, but if someone wants to put a phrase or saying that means something to them on their web site, what's that to you? It has nothing to do with the topic of the thread.

It has plenty to do with the topic of the thread. The guy is looking for a helicopter for his flight school. On the schools homepage it says "the lord is our strength".

Typically such highly ambitious enterprise would state that their strength is excellence, professionalism, experience or something similar.

How is it off topic to point out that this folk sees his biggest strength in his lord and saviour?

Avbug, I've read a few of your posts on here. And while you tend to come across as somewhat abrasive, your comments seem to be very thorough and analytical--as you appear to have extensive knowledge of and experience in the helicopter world. I appreciate how when someone misunderstands a regulation, you take the time to explain the points in great detail, emphasizing the main points so the other person would hopefully come out with a better understanding. (It's not your fault they still can't see.) It bothers me that pilots are all too often trained to mediocrity.

That being said, I wonder, since you are so critical of my website, if you wouldn't mind posting a list of (preferably aviation-related) websites that you feel are top-notch, along with a brief comment as to why you like them. But please omit any religious commentary. I'm not changing the motto or removing it from the logo. Besides, people don't seem to have trouble spending money with "In God We Trust" on it. Thank you in advance for your input.

All of which is entirely inconsequential and irrelevant to the topic at hand, is it not? Shall we not cloud the issue, then?

Tell you what you want to hear, then. I see.

I've no need to provide a tutorial on web sites. Your'e advertising a business that does NOT exist. Your sole purpose in directing viewers here toward your web site can ONLY be to solicit money. In other words, what your'e doing here is asking for money. You're not here to discuss regulation, not hear to learn, not here to open a dialogue on piloting techniques or aerodynamics, or job seeking. Your'e here to ask for money to start a business. Let's get that clearly established.

Your web site IS the business. There is no flight training. There is no helicopter. There is no airplane. There is no simulator. You're selling a few study guides for knowledge tests, and you're advertising services that you would *like* to sell, but can't possibly offer.

If you're not happy with your web design, then hire a professional to do it. YOU posted it here and invited viewers to see it. Don't worry yourself a bit that it invites comment, as it has.

Do not comment on your use of religious slogans as the motto for your non-existent company, you say. Very well. You may rest assured, however, that as a potential investor, aside from the inaccurate information and lack of business plan, non-sequitur data, and changing presentation that's little more than a money trap, your use of a religious motto would immediately discourage me from providing any funds for your start-up.

Money containing the slogan "in god we trust" is legal tender. Your web site advertising a non-existent money isn't.

In fact, it's asking for money. Perhaps that's the secret connection.

Go patronize someone else, then. You're doing yourself no favors.

Avbug, how's the wifi connection in your mom's basement? Do you run the wireless router down there so you have good signal? You would be the type to deny your mom good signal.
