Karl
https://youtu.be/qcNzpnH_4Ho Shot with my phone and without my glasses on. Hiker rescue on Koko Head Crater railroad track Hawaii Kai. April 14 2015. The cause is usually dehydration or slipping and banging their head. It's steep enough it's easier for them to air lift the patient than carry them down in a litter. The track is narrow gauge. I've heard the charge is $500 but I don't know if that's true.
500F
I climbed it last summer, It a lot tougher hike than it looks like, especially in the heat of the day. Well worth it though, great views. Other hikers told me short haul extractions were a regular occurrence.
