wocs 15-023

Recommended Posts

I just got done being a Drill Sergeant there, now I'm at Rucker waiting to report in on the 2nd. Be ready for the bay's to be hot and nasty, you will be happy to sleep outside

Haha sounds like a nice vacation, maybe it'll make Rucker in August not seem so bad.

Eagle I have the same report date, the day before my birthday.

Yes, it's during bolc/WOBC. The one prior to wocs is part of the testing process to see if you can pass it. The one here at Rucker is the real deal and does a few extra tests.

Do you know the pass scale for the Titmus eye test? I had the Titmus with my flight physical here and I was not able to see all of the blurs in the squares. I passed the test but I'm hoping they did not short-change me on results thus setting me up for failure at Rucker. It would suck to get that far through the program and get eliminated by that test.

I have no idea... Here they have optometrists in office so do your best and if you fail a portion of the exam, they have the doctor look in your eyes and measure and test you manually instead of by machine. I failed the part that tests to see if your eyes are pointed in the same direction. Apparently I'm off by 4 whatevers and the allowable is 6 whatevers... But the read the card forehead push machine had me failing so he measured me manually and found out yes I failed but I am within limits... Then came yet another dilation... This time with big boy army chemicals instead of clinical public stuff. I cried like a girl it burned so bad...

I just did the standard vision check a Rucker. After getting your eyes dilated the doc looks at your retina. It was pretty quick, didn't even take 5 minutes.

I had Lasik so I'm no stranger to the eye pain. I think I should be fine then. My surgeon did all of the tests in regards to pressure and measurements after my procedure and all checked out so I feel a little better about it now.
