hawk206
Used to fly both a R44 and 206, but haven't flown helicopters in a little over 10 years. I want to get current and get some time in an EC120. Also maybe complete commercial and instrument (already have enough hours to meet the experience requirements). Can anyone recommend a place to get some dual in an EC120? I'm located in the midwest, but will go anywhere with pleasant weather. Thanks! hawk206
Try Midwest Helicopters @ KCPS STL Downtown airport.Nice. I found them surfing the web last night. Are they part of or associated with Fostaire? That is where I did my 206 training.

Flying Pig
Yes, that's what he means. If you can go anywhere..... and doing it in an EC120 isn't cost prohibitive, just go straight to the tap. Is say always start with a factory school first. Then work your way backwards. Factory school carries much more weight than getting some dual at XYZ Flight School. Edited May 15, 2015 by Flying Pig

helonorth
If you aren't career oriented and don't plan on buying one, skip the factory school. It's usually insanely expensive. If you are career oriented, I would forget about the whole thing and get back in the Robinson. Nobody flies the EC120. It would be like getting training in an Enstrom 480. Practically useless. Hover225
Midwest is a part of Fostaire helicopters. Chris Bailey and his wife bought it from Clarke. They have access to an Ec that is hangared out at KSUS.
