avbug
No matter how good the job, always keep the resumes going out. Far better to have options in the event things change. I've seen too many cases of pilots who arrived to go to work and found the doors locked, were furloughed, layed off, bankruptcies occurred, mergers, downsizing, or other events happened, the economy went south, someone wrecked an aircraft, contracts were lost of amended, and many other reasons for loss of employment, including medical issues. I've experienced most of those over the years. Have something pending, instead of being caught cold as the only one left standing when all the chairs are taken.
Flying Pig
I've talked with pilots who who refuse to wear NVGs because they wore a set once in 1986. I've met many pilots who believe wearing safety gear somehow implies that you are going to purposely go out and use it.
