Kernkamp150
Hi all, I recently finished the flight physical at Fort Irwin, CA. It was sent to Fort Rucker. Now my question is, what happens after they stamp it, do they send it back electronically? Then how do I get it to my packet (I'm doing street to seat). It is my recruiter's first time doing a WOFT application so he's not sure. He told me my packet is waiting at battalion headquarters for the flight physical. But the Sgt. at Fort Irwin told me he can print the flight physical and give it to my recruiter. I'm just confused how, this last piece makes it into the application and then if I'm reading the USAREC site correctly, It must be submitted by July 15 for the September 15 board. Who submits the packet?
CharyouTree
The SGT probably has access to AERO. (I think that's the acronym...). It's the digital land where those things reside. My suggestion would be that you stay in contact with the SGT who says he can take care of it, and just touch base with him next week (before late Thursday...) or early the week after, and see if it's been stamped. You've got the holiday weekend to contend with, so don't wait until the last minute on Thursday, or he'll be gone. If it's not done by then, get him again the following week, or if he says earlier ("Call me Friday..."). Once he says it's been sent to your recruiter, call HIM and make sure he's received it, and submitted it. That's what I'd do.

Modfox4.6
I'm currently working on my packet as well and just completed the flight physical. I'm not taking the street to seat route since I'm already active duty, so I'm not sure if the process varies. My physical was submitted digitally (e-mail) to the Aeromedical center at Fort Rucker to get the stamp of approval. After it was stamped, it was sent back to the clinic where I received the physical. The folks there e-mailed it to me to use in my packet. It's the DD 2808 form and my understanding is that the first page with the stamp is the only page that is to be submitted in the packet. Don't quote me on that though. Hope this helps and good luck!
StockTrader
Thank you, sounds like a good plan.Different places operate in different ways. Stay on your recruiter. My flight physical was mailed directly to me with the rucker stamp and I had to bring it to the recruiter. But fort irwin may operate differently.
Won2Be
You could call the commander if your recruiter can't help. They should know a good bit about officer applicants. the ocs board and woft board are very similar from what I've read and, I guarantee any commanding officer should know how the OCS board works. he/she should be a good resource.
MichaelRyanSD
I think, and I stress "I think", that its all electronic now, basically I did my Flight Physical one day, the doc submitted it that day for me, the next I got a phone call to come pick it up with the Rucker Stamp. I'm AD though, not sure if that changes anything.
shainbourassa
I'm guard, we do ours electronically, you fill out your 2808 email it to the facility, then go in for the actual flight portion. However, it has to be through a .mil email due too HIPPA. So, I'm assuming it would have to be through your recruiter. I'm not totally sure though.
Kernkamp150
Thank you for the responses everyone. I'll have the SGT email the stamped physical to my recruiter since it needs to be a .mil email as you mentioned, then my recruiter can include it in the packet. Seth G.
To avoid starting another thread, I'll just ask the question here. My packet is complete (excluding DD 2808) and my flight physical was submitted this morning to Rucker as qualified with no waivers. I am currently active duty Army, and I'm trying to find a contact number to expedite this approval process to make the September board deadline of July 17th. How long is this process and is it even necessary to call? I read previously on this thread that some had it stamped and approved the day after it was submitted. Tanniyn
When my flight physical was submitted, I was told that it could take up to several months to get the stamp from Rucker. Thankfully it only took about a week to get approved and sent back.

Going to make a few calls tomorrow.
Yamer
Search Mr. Garcia on this forum. Then read that thread
Lindsey
What Yamer said. Mr. Garcia is the magic man.

Seth G.
Alright, so both days I tried calling Mr. Garcia, I got the "non working number" automated message. The number that was provided in previous threads is no longer accurate and is still the same number on the USAREC website. Perhaps it was temporarily down, I'm not sure. However, I did reach the receptionist at Rucker that handles flight physicals and received the good news that it was approved the day after my flight surgeon submitted my physical. To help future applicants, go to this link http://www.rucker.amedd.army.mil/tools/links.htmland select " Aeromedical Electronic Resource Online (AERO)." Here, you can check the status of your flight physical if you are an Army active duty applicant and print your DD 2808 directly from your computer. Hope this helps someone! Ksuguy
On the website it states the cutoff for packets is 17 July 2015 so you have until tomorrow!
Seth G.
Yes I'm aware. I've been waiting on my Senior Warrant Officer to finish signing my LOR and reviewing my final packet, which will be tomorrow. I'm not worried, one day is plenty of time. Ksuguy
Ok was just making sure you knew because someone said it was the 15th of this month. Congrats on getting it done and good luck on getting selected!!
mdeneso
I did my physical at Irwin and I am also a recruiter, your recruiter needs to call the flight clinic after about a week and when it's back they can email it to him.

Brian101193
Does anyone know if there is a policy about wisdom teeth? Mine are coming in now and my dentist thinks we might have to take 2 of them out but he's sort of taking a "wait and see" approach to it. Anybody go through something similar....do they even look at your mouth?
Creep0321
I know you can be dental Class 1 without wisdom teeth, and pass a flight physical. However if you go for a flight physical shortly after having them removed, with fresh wounds, I do not know if that would have any bearing. Brian101193
Probably best to just wait then till after the physical, they aren't hurting me but it's a matter of time. Also, a bit off topic but did you guys drive yourselves to get a flight physical? My recruiter is insisting he (or someone with Army recruiting) has to take me. The nearest place to get one is at Fort Rucker which is 6 hours away, each way so that seems like quite a commitment from them.
