Needless to say, he helped me out a lot with the networking, and I have known several of my references since childhood. Very much thankful for his help. What happens to someone if they get accepted into WOFT and then they fail a school? Like they finish basic and then fail WOCS or SERE? I used to work with a guy in my last unit who was street to seat that failed WOCS and they reclassed him to 15T. From my understanding as long as you can recover in a reasonable amount of time you will sit in a hold status rather than being dropped from the program. From my understanding as long as you can recover in a reasonable amount of time you will sit in a hold status rather than being dropped from the program. I am not speaking from personal experience though.This. You get 150 days cumulative time in "close hold," which is where you go to die, uh, er, I mean, "recover" if you are sick/injured, or if you are on extended hold for a legal issue, or if you are getting rebranched or getting out. If you break your ankle and are out for two months after say, wocs, you only have 90 more days left in close hold for the rest of flight school. Then they'll start paperwork to kick you out. Not the most glorious job, but it pays the bills while I'm waiting for my packet to get looked at. I worked at a Mellow in Mobile, Alabama for years when I was in college, so it was kind of the easiest job for me to acquire after moving back to work on my packet. So... if any of you find yourselves at Mellow, I'll be the morose looking guy, who has already missed 2 selection boards (for reasons out of my control), and wants desperately to get out of the service industry.. so don't be afraid to say hey, and maybe throw some words of encouragement.. Haha. Thankfully I've met plenty of awesome, supportive Warrant Officers while working here, and even met a guy who worked at the Aeromedical Research Lab next to Lyster and took me through the UH-60 flight simulator. I talked to one of the warrant officer recruiting command teams and the deadline is primarily for anyone with waivers. This will allow sufficent time to process the packet plus added time for waivers. From what they told me, as long as your packet is 100% GTG without waivers you have to the middle of August. Although it can be a little too relax for new Soldiers fresh out of AIT, the opportunities to travel and go on some really sweet missions is unlike anything else I have heard about in the Army. Negative ghost rider, they deactivated the 12th CAB but the 214th aviation still remains with some 47, 60, and the FW company in a few locations. They cut personnel by about 3/4 so I was told.
