Career from Unregistered Helicopter

Hello everyone

I work for a government section on Astars with skills of (NVG, Rabbling, Longline 100 feet and less, IFR, SWAT team operations and Mountain operations) and all that trainings are under 200 flight hours.

So after my contract is finished I would like to start a career but here I face some problems like the following:

* I'm not registered as pilot and have no licence except some training certifications.

* The Helicopters that I work on they're not registered as well due to some security reasons.

* I can't get a European licence due to eye surgery so Europe is not an option.

I would love to hear your opinions and appreciate to tell me how can I start with my career

Do you have reliable record with endorsements of training received?

Do you have documents (orders) to flight status?

Do you have a reliable record of flight experience (log book)?

If you have these, I would have a talk with the FAA as to the acceptability of your records.

If you're looking at mechanic certification, then it's irrelevant whether the aircraft are registered. It appears that you're not looking for european certification. Your pilot experience may be good for you personally and enriching in helping you understand aviation, but without documentation it won't count for anything in the USA.

Certification will cost you considerably less in the USA, but whether you can work here is another matter. You haven't identified your circumstances.

You'll need to undertake all the legally required training and tests that any other student would need to take, for pilot certification. You'll need to gain hours and experience just like anyone else. Unless you think that your current employer will give you a boost by gaining pilot certification, your current job won't give you any advantage to most of the helicopter (or fixed wing) industry. There may be some public use operations that would consider your background, but it won't benefit you in terms of hours toward a certificate or rating.

Mechanic certification can be obtained by going to school, which ranges from 12 to 18 months ,and 24 months in some cases. You can also use work experience toward a mechanic certificate; 18 months of experience in airframe, and 18 months in powerplant, or a combined 30 months of experience for both. The FAA defines that as full time (40 hours a week) experience that can be attested to and verified by a certified mechanic or authority. Given the circumstances you've described regarding your employer, you may have some difficulty providing verifiable documentation to the FAA, toward a mechanic certificate. Accordingly, you'll likely need to go to school to become an aircraft mechanic, or become a mechanic's assistant/apprentice in a shop or repair station until you get 30 months of documented experience.

So in case you don't know Arabic, what was said above and then some is here. I lived in Oman for a few months during the Fall. People on these forums can be really friendly and helpful, but if they don't have enough info there isn't much that can be done. Are you a citizen of the country you currently work in? Does the nation have some equivalent of the FAA? From living over there I know some countries have really limited government around aviation, they only have commercial pilots trained by the airlines or military pilots, that’s it. If your nation has no governing aviation body, then there is likely little that can be done If they have some sort of governing body, then I am no help but others here might be able to.

I did some research around aviation in Oman just because I was curious when I was there and I couldn't find any sort of civil aviation. From what I understood it seemed like only commercial aviation such as airlines or cargo, then there were military pilots, Royal Flight, and then ROP Special Task Force pilots. Beyond that I am not sure if they had any other people that were trained pilots, I think Oman Air even sent their people out of country to receive initial training.
