choppereng
Awesome stats man. When's your APFT? I appreciate that! Not sure when my WOSM wants me to take the APFT. Soon, I guess. Your stats look solid too! You have a 4-year degree, killer APFT score, great LORs. I think you have a great shot. Virginia Beach, eh? I went to HS there. I'd like to be stationed there. Too bad it's a Navy town...

squid
Yeah anxious mostly due to my unit taking their sweet time with my new conditional release. they have had it for close to 2 months and no news despite calling 2 or 3 times a week. If anybody knows the patron saint of paperwork please let me know! But I agree this board sounds like it is going to have some really good applicants on it! Best of luck to everyone and I hope to see you all at Rucker!
steve0
Only a few weeks left. Anyone else starting to get anxious?Had a dream the other night I was in the mafia or something in the 1930s. and I was running from the police. I was like, "gotta escape! If i have an arrest record, the Army won't let me enlist!" I think the pre-board anxiety is getting to me

Newbatt
Age - 22 AFQT/GT - 99/144 SIFT - 80 APFT - 250 Military Experience - none Education - 95 college credits, (GPA: 3.66) mostly in nursing, biology, emergency medical services, and gen-eds. No college degree. I was my high-school's valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA, though I'm not sure whether or not that is actually pertinent to the board. LOR - The Chief of my Fire Department, my pastor, a retired USAFR Lt. Colonel, a Dept. of the AF GS-13, a professor/Medical Doctor, and a second professor Battalion Board - completed on 06/15. All three said they highly recommend me, but I haven't gotten to see my actual scores, yet. Waivers - none needed Flight Time - none Additional Bio - professionally, I am a phlebotomist; I also volunteer as a firefighter/EMT for my township. Just so it's clear as mud, I want to confirm what I've gleaned from various posts on here. Is it true that the ratio of AD:civilian slots has recently changed from 1:1 to 3:1; that July's civilian/reserve board will be swollen with twice as many applicants, because the May civilian board was cancelled; and that the Army doesn't have many slots due to over-selecting applicants early in the year?
choppereng
I was selected by the board! They interview you, deliberate for about 20 minutes, and then call you back in with their decision. It kind of makes the guard look like a well-oiled machine compared to AD haha For reference, there was only one other person being boarded yesterday and they were asked to try again next month, so it was a 50% selection rate for the June board.

With a sift score of 80, and an AFOQT of 99, i can't imagine you have anything to worry about. When you say you got a 99, you mean you got a 99 for the Pilot score?? If so, that is very impressive.. What was your Nav score? Such great test scores, yet you bombed your pft... That is unfortunate.. Probably won't matter, but 250 is what i'd expect a fat-kid to get.. Like a 12-year old little fat-kid. 100%,99%, then you drop to 83.3% on the one test that they actually tell you the answers beforehand.. If i was in charge of running one of these boards, I'd immediately axe all of the packets who didn't care enough to get at least a 290 on the PFT. 275? 275 packets would go straight into the garbage can.. Anyways.. I hope you make it!! good luck
sam7
Gents, does anyone know how long it take for your packet to go from a "P" proponent status to "B" board ready status? Thanks,

Insights_STG
Still trolling I see. This post? Trolling? .. Obviously meant as a joke, if you consider one-line jokes to be "trolling," then fine, i'm trolling. Ask the Phlebotomist.. He knows all about "B" types for sure..But this is the only post that I've made recently which the label "troll" could be remotely justified

Luofynerd
I got picked up for SSG made the corrections I got from my BN ME and added a letter from my MTP. Hopefully second times the charm. If not I will probably not be applying for pilot again. Will probably go for maintenance technician warrant next year.
