Warrant Reclass

Recommended Posts

I am looking for any advice in a possible reclass to another Warrant MOS fairly recently after flight school. I don't want to go into any personal details, but I graduated flight school a little more than one year ago. From my understanding the Flight Doc has submitted a waiver to keep flying and should hear back in about 2-3 months, we aren't sure what Rucker will say.

As far as I'm tracking if the waiver is denied, a MAR2 will be initiated to determine if I can reclass to another MOS or be medically retired. I do meet the Army Reg requirements to stay in the Army for my medical issue, however the wife and I are preparing for the possibility of being told I might be Med Boarded for it. I'm really hoping for the waiver to be approved, however looking for any advice for reclassing to another Warrant MOS as well as any actual MOS. I've always been Aviation so I technically don't meet a lot of the requirements on the USAREC website. I've been told possibly UAV, Boat and tech warrant (like in the PC shop). I got 9 years in now and really looking for any advice to keep flying or atleast reclass. I really appreciate any advice out there.

Seriously, has anyone pulled off a boat warrant reclass without being a prior 88K?

Something I'm interested in also. I've heard of it but it's like a unicorn, don't know anyone who's actually done it. I was told by a CW5 that the school is stupid long and I'd already be behind all my peers at that point so promotion wouldn't look very good.
