jkvarner15
I recently graduated from college and would like to fly rotary wing in the Army. I have been working with a recruiter to put together my WOFT packet. I am needing help getting a LOR from a CW3 or higher in the aviation field. I am willing to do a phone interview, skype or travel to an Army base to assist in the process. I am a civilian and I do not know any warrant officers. Looking for help any way possible. Thank you. I scored a 78 on my ASVAB with a 114 GT. I have not taken the SIFT yet. I am waiting to hear back from Medical about my Lasik. I have been studying for the SIFT from three different guides and I am currently enrolled in Gold Seal Ground School. I am hoping to get a few flight lessons in before my packet is due to make my packet look better.

stearmann4
It will be easier to get an LOR(s) once you have your flight physical, SIFT, and PFT completed. For an unknown it gives you a base to be evaluated on. You should by all means begin the search, just have those items complete before making an appointment for an interview. When you get that stuff completed, give me a yell. Mike-

jaswhee
Let me know if you go to Ft. Leonard Wood for your SIFT and Medical. I live in STL and had to drive out there to do my stuff. More than willing to give you tips etc.
DavidGo
I'm also a civilian considering the Army WOFT, the only hurdle I see is my age. I know there are age waivers available, but does anyone know if they would actually accept someone over 33? I'm 34, and have a BS in electrical engineering technology form Purdue. I would be joining the AR or ARNG.
Creep0321
I know of one guy here now with an age waiver, came from active duty airforce, CCT. So it happens, just not often right now is my understanding of it.

Yes, but the only one I know of here is damn near legendary status in the dustoff community.
SKeephouse
What is the normal age restriction?
