I am 6'3", give or take an inch. (Gave my flight physical to my recruiter or else I could actually check.) And I know the Kiowa is retired, I just find it funny how often it still shows up. I had a question on my SIFT asking about it as well.

My son graduated Flight School Sept. 2013, he had selected Kiowas only to find out the December after graduating that they were being retired. Only bring this up because he is 6'-5" and yes he could still squeeze into the 58, though looked awkward getting out. During selection when he chose the 58 they asked someone to take a look at him, I guess he was in a good mood that day because he gave the ok. During the selection for the following class they said no to someone that was shorter. Needless to say he endured a lot of "Tall" jokes while he was flying the 58.

Boards are finally here! I see some good looking packets, I look forward to (hopefully) serving with all of you. Best of luck to everyone.

Age: 26
ASVAB/GT: 98/137
SIFT: 60
PT: 282
College: BA Psychology University of Washington 2.5 gpa (ugh)
LORs: A couple O-3s and an old boss
Batt interview went extremely well but they did not give me a score

What has everyone been doing to prepare? I've heard land nav is a big source of attrition so I'm taking some classes at REI. Wondering if anyone has any other good resources for this. I also got my hands on a WOCSOP manual from 2014. I assume some of the material is outdated but it's at least given me an idea of what to expect. At the end of the day there's only so much you can do but I'm always looking for any way to get an edge in the months to come. If i get in, that is.

The packets have been sent, the stats have been posted, I can't really think of much else to say until we start getting notified.

The earliest civilians would probably get a call would be Wednesday correct?

I'm excited to hear everybody's results. I really want to get a current selection rate, even though it's subject to change before my board in May. In the mean time, does anybody have their eyes on a certain airframe if you get in?

Well good news! I just got the call and I was accepted. Talking with my recruiter about when I can get back out to MEPS to swear in.

Right now I am looking at the 60s. But wouldn't be disappointed by any of them.

Call your recruiting station and just ask one of the recruiters to check for you

I believe the call comes from a Major at the recruiting battalion. Thats who I got my call from then you contact your recruiter to get started on the next step.
