StockTrader, I really appreciate you clearing that all up for me. Thank you so much.

Do you know how I will figure out when BCT is? Will I get another email? Or will the Army send me orders to this without any action on my part? Sister service here, and my command is relying on me for information regarding Army orders etc... I feel as though I need to call HRC to figure out the immediate path ahead (to BCT) now that I have my initial class dates for Rucker.

Any insight or guidance regarding information about BCT would be appreciated if you could provide any. Otherwise I'll be seeking out points of contact in HRC to call some time next week.

Again, thank you for clarifying that last post of mine!!!

Once you get your official notification letter from HRC*, it will instruct you to see a recruiter within 10 days or so. The recruiter essentially signs you up as a new recruit and schedules you to visit MEPS. Once you get to MEPS, they will get your class date for the PSBCT that is before whatever WOCS class you're in.

You should be reporting to your local Army recruiter now that you have class dates for WOCS. They will process you as if you were a new enlistee, process you through MEPS, you will "DEP-in," and a guidance counselor will give you a PSBCT date. This is based on my experiences with the local Army recruiter, what they know, and the research I have done. However, I'm still waiting on my magical email to come through.

Still waiting to find out but so far from the website and words passed from two guys that have went through from my AFSC withing the last year or two, I should be able to skip SERE (thankfully kept that certificate) since we go there right out of tech school, and get to skip BCT since we happen to be one of the USAF careerfields that get to bypass it.

As for phase one, I am still 50/50. A guy I'm talking to currently going through said it should be an option to bypass it with me completing NCOA/Course 15 (required to make E7 in the Air Force) but I'm still looking for further confirmation. He mentioned he chose to go through it but I guess they told him he could have skipped it if he spoke up about his training and just went to phase 2. I will definitely verify all of this of course but appreciate the help you guys have given.

StockTrader and MuffinMan, thanks for mentioning getting an initial issue. That was one of my questions if I needed to go out and buy a couple new OCP's, didn't think I needed to but was prepared to do so if need

Definitely won't need to purchase new OCPs. All inter-service transfers get an initial issue when they arrive to HHC and get in-processed to post, though there may be a few things you'll want to purchase in order to have some extras going into class. (I imagine you're coming over as an aviator and not tech meaning you'll be PCS'd here).

The best way to get a final/concrete answer regarding if you will be able to complete phase one via DL is to contact the XO at HHC here. DM me if you want to contact details or have any other questions.

Hi guys,

For SISTER SERVICE APPLICANTS, I have an update for you:

I just contacted Warrant Officer Accessions HRC about PSBCT (Prior Service Basic Combat Training) which is held in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.

She will be sending out our instruction emails within a week, or the next depending on how long it takes her to draft everything up.

After we get the email, we'll have two weeks to visit with an Army Recruiter who will set everything up based off instructions for them within the email we will be receiving.

So, within the next two weeks us Sister Service applicants will have PSBCT instructions allowing us to set up our BCT date.

Hope this update helps alleviate any confusion or uncertainty!

Look forward to the email, but I'm deployed until August so will need to work with them regarding class dates. Also need to get in touch with them so I can confirm that I don't need any basic training coming from a battlefield airman AFSC, per the website I should be able to go right past that part.

I was planning on waiting for an email to contact HRC, but should I jump the gUn and advice them of my current deployment? Again, I should be home mid Aug.

Thanks CG for looking out.

Why ask the board your original question if you're just going to ask HRC anyway? :)

When I called HRC, I was looking for a time frame, and she gave me that AND confirmed the part that I had already learned from this board: instructions to go to a recruiter and have them set up your BCT.

I can't speak for your situation unfortunately, but I'm sure someone on here will have good advice on what to do regarding your question.

don't like jumping the gun, like I did today but I was uncertain about when to expect an email as there just is not a lot of guidance for the sister service guys about this. I get so dang worried that I'm overlooking something that I have to seek confirmation lol I have these nightmare visions of me missing some detail, showing up and they're like, "who are you?" haha

My gut tells me that now that you know when to expect an email, wait until you get it before you call them to figure out the details of your situation.

I understand! I was super anxious waiting for that e-mail.

Received another email from HRC today;

"This message is for WOC's that will be attending WOCS resident phase 1 and phase 2. Currently the next class being conducted begins January 2018. There is a possibility a new class will be added in late Oct 2017 for phase 1 followed by phase 2 in early Nov 2017. This is still pending approval. I have been asked to move everybody currently scheduled in the later classes." to the new class once approved and added to ATRRS."

Anyone here on the list? Exciting that they might be moving everything up. I got some stuff I was hoping to do before then but sooner is better in this case, I think, so I'll make do.

I got it too and would like to attend, but it depends on when I graduate basic and when the actual start date of that course is. When I went to MEPS, I was put into the next available PSBCT with an estimated graduation date of 20 Oct. So, if that WOCS class began that following week I would be able to attend. They don't know what the actual start date of the course is so I had to give a "maybe" as my answer. I imagine you'll be in a similar situation.

Wait, so ya'll still haven't gotten dates? I bet everyone is refreshing their mail constantly.

It's the saddest thing you'll ever witness. I wake up, get out of bed, grab my CAC card, check my email, get angry, leave it open, go on here and see who else besides me got their emails, check my email again, cry, and repeat.

Every couple of days I go and recheck the MILPER message to make sure I actually was selected.

I am right there with you wheelsup. Haha. I keep making sure I was actually selected. I also check my ERB constantly to make sure my AEA code still says "l", which is something to the effect of "pending WOCS school date". There is rumor that they are trying to approve a new class for the beginning of October for those of us going to the 5 week course. Hope that is true and it gets approved...

I feel so bad for you guys, it took awhile for me to get my initial ATRRS course reservation. Hopefully you guys get something here pretty soon. Regarding that new class in October I thought it was a new 7 week course. I believe there is already a 5 week course scheduled for October.

They (HRC) are actually trying to add a new 5 week course for October 3rd to accommodate the influx of candidates. It is still up for approval at this point though.

Ok I gotcha, I received an email from HRC stating they were in the process of approving a course for those WOC's who were in later resident phase 1 and 2 courses. And I believe it was late October for phase 1 and into early november for phase 2
