RiseUpNation44
I have had my packet in for about 5 weeks now. I email the question inbox every Monday, and they get back to me every Wednesday. The status has been "Your packet is with the proponent for review" for the last 4 weeks. Are any of your packets "Board Ready" yet? I am assuming it is because I have a moral waiver submitted with my packet for a speeding ticket over $250 when I was 16. Did anyone have any moral waivers approved yet? Thanks in advance. mike0331
How'd the speeding ticket even come up? It hasn't been asked or mentioned as I've been going through the guard process. I have a speeding ticket over $250 from 2009. My only moving violation ever. Mike

mike0331
Hmm. I did fill out an SF86 - I answered everything honestly so maybe I did put it down and just forgot. Nobody has asked me anything about it though. Mike

I'm sure you'll be fine.

mike0331
Diet is 90% of it. Doesn't mean starve yourself, but fewer calories in than burned = weight loss. Don't drink soda's and juices. Only drink on weekends. Go from beer to liquor. Replace bread with lower carb flax wraps. Don't eat desert. That'll make a big difference right there. All "fad" diets essentially just reduce your caloric intake, thereby making you skinnier. You can do this on your own with portion control. Trinidad
I'm pretty sure this question has been answered, but I'm having a hard time finding it. I'm going to need lasik/prk, which forms and documents will I need to take to my eye doctor to fill out in order to receive a waiver?
Luofynerd
I'm pretty sure this question has been answered, but I'm having a hard time finding it. I'm going to need lasik/prk, which forms and documents will I need to take to my eye doctor to fill out in order to receive a waiver?Too easy. https://www.tamc.amedd.army.mil/offices/Ophthalmology/docs/Army%20Aviation%20Refractive%20Surgery%20Policy.pdf Page 16 of this PDF is what you will need to print out, usually it comes with your flight physical packet. This whole PDF explains all about eye deficiencies. If you have any issues understanding any of it PM me and I should be able to help you out. I had PRK in 2015 and have done two flight physicals since then.

Double check you sent it to the right address etc.

One day I get max push-up sit-up and run a 14 the next week I get 60 in each event lmao. I don't know if the marine pft would even be considered. I would ask the recruiting team. Most of those dudes are happy with do the bare minimum.

Its the only part of my packet I am not satisfied with.

Its the only part of my packet I am not satisfied with. well if it makes you feel any better I got a 246. They sent me an email that my APFT was going to be out of date by the board so I took one after being on night shift (not really doing any pt, my own fault)Went down ten points. I mean I'm not happy about it but it's also 66 points above the army standard and more than 80 in each event.
mike0331
Another Marine here butt-hurt about my APFT score. I ran a 243 the other day - I'm going to try to run another one in 2 weeks and hope I do a bit better. I would have scored better on a USMC PFT, my last 2 a couple years back were in the 270s. I don't remember running under a 250 ever in my 6 years. I can easily do 25 pull-ups now and 100+ "crunches." On the APFT I knocked out the 77 pushups in 90 seconds. That said, 62 sit-ups was all I was able to eek out, and I was feeling a bit under the weather and wasn't breaking any land speed records on the run. Going to be doing an intensive sit-up program the next 2 weeks and run it again in the AM when it's cool rather than at 2 in the afternoon in 90 degrees. I'm going Guard so I don't know how active duty averages square up. A lot of my guard friends seem to say their attitude is "pass the APFT" is good enough. Not really my mentality going in to this. MikeMike I feel ya, I maxed the push-ups no problem and run was decent. But those sit-ups. Unfortunately I won't have time to run another one for score before the board and get it routed and signed by my co.
