I heard N7535G R44 suffered tail boom strike during a rumored hard landing

Well if that is the case, that then becomes structural damage rendering it unairworthy. It wont be a rumor once classified as an accident and you wont have to guess. :)

Is it unairworthy if let's say the tail requires a separate flight plan?  LOL Most importantly, I was told there were no injuries!

Are you talking about a stinger strike (relatively innocuous), or the blade flexing down to hit the boom (oh, dear...)?
