Awesome! I think that will give me better odds for selection? Assuming I get selected does anyone know the time frame that I would get orders to report? Like from selection how many days till my boots touch in Alabama? Hypothetically of course, Idk if I will be selected.

Results may vary but I got picked up the 5th-9th FEB board, found out I was selected 13 FEB (Civilians found out the 6th). I got my school date 1 MAR for 28 AUG.

"If you are a member of the Army National Guard or Army Reserves, to include Active Guard Reserve (AGR), and wish to apply into the active duty Warrant Officer Program, your application will be completed and processed in accordance with the requirements for active duty applicants. Furthermore, you are required to submit an approved Request for Conditional Release (DD Form 368) from your component as part of your packet. Additionally, AGR applicants for the active duty program must process a Personnel Action (DA Form 4187) to request conditional release in accordance with Army Regulation 135-100, Paragraph 2-2b (12)."

From Usarec website. https://www.usarec.army.mil/hq/warrant/WOreserve.shtml

Though results may vary. I have heard of Marine Reserves going through as a Prior Service with the recruiters.

That is good information. I had to get a 368 from my reserve command but I was still treated as prior service by the recruiting office.

As far as timeline goes I was selected July 16, in WOCS beginning of October 16, still in the 64 course at Rucker now.

Hello, I've been sneaking around in these parts for awhile interested in joining the military, particularly through WOFT. Only one concern though, from the looks if it everyone that got accepted seems to be over the age of 20 (except for one I found on the data dump thread) , and I am currently 17. I don't know if this is a sample size thing, maturity, or just lack of information on WOFT for people my age to be applying/getting accepted. I would like to have your opinions about someone my age joining through WOFT, is it just such a low profile program or are we weeded out through the process. I also have some college credits under my belt, nearly enough to get a 2-year.

Put in a packet and see what happens, you have nothing to lose.

Since your age is something you cant control you have to try and make up for it in other parts of your packet. What you can control is your PT score, your asvab, your sift so make sure to do well in those. Your essay and your lor's are also in your hands. Do well in those and your age will make less of a difference. (that's the advice I got since I'm also 17 and in college right now) Also the last civilian board was 100% so now is as good of a time as it'll ever be.

Currently applying as a Reservist but am pending results of my conditional release. It was approved but expired while waiting for my physical to process and of course now we no longer have a 1-star in our CoC, so it must now go to a 2-star to my understanding.

I do have a question for any reserve folks out there or anyone with knowledge on the application process. What happens to my reserve application if I get accepted and then my conditional release gets approved? Am I able to switch over to active duty or must I complete my reserve requirement first? Has anyone been able to make the switch after selection?

In the event that the answer to both of my questions is no, do we have any current reserve pilots currently in their TPU role? I would love to pick their brain. Thanks!

I work at the division and our BG was reassigned to a "corps level" position, so until a new BG steps in, our commander is an O6.

My initial DD368 was approved last spring but my physical wasn't stamped approved until 8 months after that, so it had expired, and my proactive attempts to get another one signed before his departure go lost in an HHC/G1 mess.

I am reserve AGR, and was just selected for active duty on the JAN/FEB BOARD. After selection you will get an email from HRC congratulating you with further instructions. For a active duty selection reserve proponent Soliers gets processed as prior service applicant by a local recruiter.

I will send you a PM for more details! Sounds like that is the information I am fuzzy on.

From what I understand there is no way to go reservist as a WOFT applicant. You're being assessed for AD WO with essentially a 8 year contract.

I maybe wrong, but that is my understanding over the process. I would just work on getting a new DD368 and be hopeful on the board. It takes a bit for HRC to get its ducks in a row anyway.

Does anybody know the date we are supposed to find out? I've heard dates ranging from the 19th-26th. I am also a civilian (no prior service), so not sure if the notification date is different for me. Thanks and good luck to all.

It will be either today or tomorrow.
