They first posted here a couple months ago, they were at Heliexpo's job fair, they're on indeed and jsfirm, now their posting here again!

We fly daytime tours of Oahu and offer the islands only Sunset, City Lights, and Flashing Skies Fireworks night tours.

 

The compensation package for pilots consists of a salary and benefits that include overtime pay, health insurance coverage, and disability insurance coverage. Pilots at Novictor can expect to fly up to 70 hours a month in the challenging terrain and weather conditions of the Hawaiian Islands.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Novictor Helicopters is seeking skilled, motivated R-44 pilots to join our fast growing team. Pilots must have their FAA Commercial Rotorcraft and Commercial Flight Instructor ratings. Instrument rating is preferred, but not required. Pilot candidates must meet the requirements of Part 135 and have 500 hours of total helicopter time including 100 hours of cross-country of which 25 hours of cross-country must be at night. Pilot candidates are also required to have 50 hours in the R44 and an R44 CFI sign-off.

 

Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit a cover letter, resume, two references, a copy of their pilot certificate and their height and weight to careers@novictoraviation.com. Please do not call our main line regarding this position.

Its either a really shitty job, impossible to live off of what they pay, or,...

Just FYI. That company is a complete $h!tshow. I would stay away unless you are desperate. In which case... go for it!

Awh come on man, you can't leave us hangin' like that!

 

Details,...?

 

Is it maintenance issues? The owner a slave driver? They insist you wear a gay-ass looking uniform,...?

Its funny, not only has Novictor posted yet again, but I just saw a new post from Helislave with "flight weight" of less than 190 lbs in bold type!

 

Maybe this new shortage is of light weight pilots,...aaahhh ha ha ha haaaa!

I've been told the reason they require you to have the R44 CFI sign off is because their novelty act is throwing the duals in and letting the customers have a whack at it.

 

Jeebus Christmas I couldn't even imagine. You thought a student would try and kill you, let's throw an average Joe with zero training up in there... I know based on my 5 years of tours, I've already had enough Joe Schmoes try to kill me without even having the duals in ! Couldn't pay me enough for that.

Are the night flights in the R44?

 

In my place at least, a night passenger flight requires a twin with an IFR-rated pilot.

 

Does "Novictor" mean "Nobody wins"?

A twin with an ifr pilot, huh? Your place out in the middle of nowhere taking people on night time cloud spotting adventures or something?!

Yup, the great land of Oz, where a night charter, even under VFR, needs a twin with an IFR rated pilot. Our CA$A is a horse's patootie. But Aerial Work can be done at night in a single with a NVFR pilot.

The owner seems like a nice lady. She seems to really be highly respected among the female pilot community.

Yeah, Freddy was the nicest, most courteous, most professional person I had met to date in the helicopter industry.

 

,...then I started working for him!

 

The real question is, how do her former employees feel about her?
