r22butters Posted April 20, 2018 Report Share Posted April 20, 2018 So far this year there have been almost a dozen jobs out there for which a low time loser like myself is qualified, i.e. 500 hour R44 tours. That's probably the most in one season that I have seen in my fifteen years of browsing the job boards! There has also been a butt-load of cfi jobs as well! So, is it fair to say that a lot of guys out there have been moving up to the second level, i.e. entry level turbine gigs, recently, which is causing all of these lower vacancies? ,...and of course the big question is? I've made it to flying fires in a type 2 relatively early in my career and I get phone calls about once a month for soft job offers. Bonzo828 Posted April 29, 2018 Report Share Posted April 29, 2018 I know several rotorcraft pilots who have gone to the airlines. I would say this is affecting the industry.
