WOFT Commissioned Officer Board in Jaunuary

Recommended Posts

Greetings All,

So, I received a word that USAREC is now having a WOFT board specifically for commissioned officers from Army and sister services. I'm looking to get more info on this as I'm a Marine Officer seeking to fly in the Army.

Also, how often do age-borderline applicants get selected? I'm currently 29, a Captain in the USMC. I was wondering if I'm going to be too old, I will be 31 or 32 by the time I'm complete with my service obligation. Thanks.

PM me, I was 30 in this year's board and got selected. Currently an Infantry Captain, post command. No age waiver required, but an AFCS waiver is required based on your total years of service as a commissioned officer.

I was on this past year's board. I was the only reserve officer to apply for it and was accepted. The process in the reserves was VERY easy because there are career counselors whose only job is to help Soldiers convert to warrant. Now they mainly deal with enlisted side but the officer side wasn't that different.

I will say getting my constructive credit so I could avoid WOCS has been a grueling experience and is still on going.
