overtorque
I'm looking for some quality books/material that goes beyond what a pilot has to know. I'm hoping for something that would answer questions such as: Why is the tail rotor the diameter it is?The whys and the hows of rotor blade fatigue. Anything remotely related to the engineering side of things would be good.
MLH
The "Helicopter Aerodynamics" series of books by Ray Prouty are an excellent source of engineering related information. Mike
chris pochari
Helicopter Design and Data Manual By Stanley J Dzik. I found the book really easy to understand. The others mentioned above are much more detailed but may be out of reach for those without advanced mathematical skills!
