Looking for personal helicopter

"I was talking with a friend about this recently - that "no evidence of God" thing. And I always fall back on, "Well prove to me that *love* exists!" The fact is, you cannot. If someone says, "I love you," we take it on faith that they do. Likewise if we tell someone we love them; why would they believe us?"

That one is easy- love is a verb. The warm feeling you get when in the grips of the deepest love emotion, like newly wet pants but in your chestal region, can be proven to be hormonal, so that too is provable. Hormones and affection are not real love in my hard boiled opinion. Actions for the welfare of the beloved are, thus the verb is more important and easily demonstrably proven.

My self importance makes me believe you're talking about me here:

"One pilot...a true simpleton if you ask me, actually said in this here forum that he follows his mechanics around and double-checks their work. (You can look it up!) Now, *he* is not an A&P mechanic, mind you, but he feels pompous and arrogant enough to know whether a mechanic was doing his job properly."

I do indeed stay with my mechanic when he's fixing whatever I broke or inspecting to make sure I didn't break anything. Never, ever when there are two magicians, er- mechanics, on the job.

I hang around for a couple reasons: first I can hold/hand/fetch stuff, which I hope makes the job quicker and more efficient; I see what he's doing, so the after maintenance review of work is quicker; I learn a lot from a different perspective on aviation from the magicians- er, I mean mechanics; and I enjoy the company of all those (save one) who work on the aircraft.

To you you new pilots, working with the mechanics is a lot like seeing the opposite sex unclothed- a lot of theory becomes justified by observation.

Not touching the God thing....

Okay but what if your mechanic likes to work in the nude?

Sure seemed that way to me.

Someone saying emphatically without a doubt that God does NOT exist does not equal Someone must believe in a God.

Worded another way - If you are not open to the idea that a God may exist then your critical thinking skills are lacking.

^That's the point being made.

Can someone else "feel" your love? Can they measure it? Can they prove it exists? Sheesh. Oh, but *you* feel it so it's got to be true! People say dumb sh*t like to me and I just shake my head. Mental midgets. (And that's me being kind.)

...

My main point is that we do not know whether "God" exists or not. I cannot prove that He does, but neither can anyone prove that He does not. Why do I believe that were were deliberately created by a Creator? I just look around...I use my brain, my capacity for knowledge and logic. In my mind, there would simply have to be just too many "coincidences" for all of...this...to have happened accidentally without some intelligent design. I see "evidence" of God in a beautiful sunrise...in a Beatles song...in the love of a dog (but not a cat - I hate cats).

It's telling that I can argue my side without resorting to name calling, but you are unable to do so. Says a lot about the substance of your claims.

It's funny that you mention mental capacity. Think about the number of times where all those coincidents DIDN'T happen. Billions and billions of other galaxies containing trillions of planets. With those numbers, you're bound to get one configuration that can briefly (in the cosmic sense of the word) support life. And here we are. Just because you can't explain it doesn't mean it's supernatural. That's how ancient Mesopotamians developed their religions. We know better.

I am with Wally

Like to see the AP working

I will query if I think there is a reason, found the good ones are happy to explain. Have had surprises after maintenance, even with the good ones.

i could have a small tool kit of items from under seats in lockers, Eng compartments, luckily not in the flight controls.

Shredding threads is a common problem on forums these days.  However one helicopter you might consider is the Alouette II.  The rear seats fold up and it's performance is more than adequate for what you are asking.  For what you are suggesting I doubt anyone is going to charge you when rendering emergency assistance.  Just keep in mind that you can't charge for your service or attempt any type of compensation. If you need any info on the Alouette, PM me and I'll be happy to  provide you with what I have.
