Discouraging,...?

sh*t, after ten years of searching, quiting, searching, quiting, and searching again, plagued by "internet experts" declaring I have a "bad attitude", I finally found a job!

That's a success story Baby!

If Butters can find work as a pilot then ANYONE can! Plus, look at all the new jobs for low timers this year,...I wouldn't call that discouraging!
Side boob is just so awesome,...yes it is!

Ok.... well, congrats.

Prove us wrong about your attitude, and I will eat crow and retract my statements that you have a "bad attitude"...

Until then, proof is in the above post tone.

He should discourage new people... The vast majority of people I've seen try to make it in this industry have failed. From what I've seen to be successful you have to want it bad enough that you're willing to ignore good advice and do it anyway. Butters is a great warning to anyone thinking about taking out a loan because flying helicopters sounds like a fun way to make a living. And off topic, whats got you so grouchy mudkow? You ok buddy?

You and Butters are cut from the same cloth.  I will just keep helping folks that ask for my assistance and advice on things helicopter related.

Grouchy?  Nah... you and Butters have been just spending too much time together.

I went to a GI bill pilot factory. I started with 75 students. Of them about 5 of us are employed pilots. You wouldn't tell some of them their benefits may be better spent elsewhere? Or the student looking at financing $100k? I love what I do and worked hard to get here. Show me a post where I complain about not being able to get a job or how there should be an easier path. If someone comes to me asking about flying I share my passion for aviation with them, but I also tell them about the hardships and that the odds are against them. Butters way isn't the right way, but it's a story that should be told because it's a pretty common one.
