November 2018 Board

Recommended Posts

I was NS for September board as well. Though I never got a call from the Battalion Commander to confirm that I was actually FQ/NS..... So my recruiter is just tracking the next board and he's gonna let me know if I'm on it or not.

I wonder if it being the end of the fiscal year had anything to do with the lower selection rates of the September board?....

Here's to round 2!

The fiscal year idea makes sense...By that logic, November should be deep! 🤞🏻

Awest called a WO recruiter and was told there are no civilian board dates till January.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

For as long as I have been following the boards, civilians have always been boarded at each convening board. After talking with a friend that works for the Warrant Officer recruiting team, he said that he hasnt heard that they are not boarding civilians and doesnt see why they wouldnt board them on the November board. He said should be business as usual with boarding both AD and civilian applicants.

The advice I got back in the day when I asked about the number of LORs is remember the selection board has about a handful of minutes to look through each packet. So make sure you sell yourself as quickly as you can. So you can send in 6. But 3 strong LORs would be better than 6 mediocre ones. Or if you have a couple that are weak may be better to just send the best ones. Just food for thought.

I'm here for my second look as well. I like to believe the fiscal year has something to do with it as well! Either way, I'm reworking my resume, upping my pt score, and have a new senior warrant recommendation going into my packet and looking over my packet. Here's to hoping that we all do a little better in November!

I really hope you are right! Hoping to see some of us from the Sept board selected next month!

Welp, I finally got MEPS done after being in med prescreen for almost 2 months. PT test on Saturday, then it's all about if the flight physical can get done in time. Fingers crossed! I've only been working on that packet since February (had LASIK too).

Hey all! I've heard conflicting information from people. Are civilian applicants who were FQ-NS at their first board automatically sent to the next board?

If so, does anyone know how a recruiter would need to update a packet with additional documents and letters? My entire recruiting station doesn't believe me that this is the case.

Everyone so far has told me that if you are FQ-NS, you are automatically rolled to the next board. If you were DQ-NS, that would mean you are not and they would have told you.

I only have my experience to go off of. After I did my battalion board interview, I met an SFC who worked at the recruiting battalion who was responsible for submitting my package to USAREC (as well as all the OCS packages who boarded the same day as me). Fortunately, I remembered his name because I have been contacting him to make sure everything was uploaded okay and to see what changes needed to occur.

It is a little scary that your recruiter would not know who this person is. Especially if you already did your battalion board.

Just be patient friend. I got PRK to be able to qualify, and it took me quite a long time for MEPS and my flight physical to get approved. It all depends on how backed up Ft. Rucker is with flight physicals.

I guess I'd be stressing less if I wasn't already 31 y/o. That's the only thing worrying me.
