WOFT for Army Reserve?

Recommended Posts

I am currently in an Army Reserve Intel unit in Pennsylvania, but I want to try to become an aviator in a Reserve Aviation unit in Texas. I have found barely any information about the WOFT process for Reservists and the info I did find seems to be outdated.

I spoke to a National Guard Warrant Officer Strength Manager from Texas and he said he cant do anything with me until I am in the Texas National Guard. Unfortunately that means hoping and waiting for a conditional release or serving out my Reserve contract, which would get me dangerously close to the age limit.

I am trying to figure out if I need to start working with someone in Warrant Officer Accessions close to me or with someone associated with the particular unit in Texas, but cannot seem to find any current contact information for any Reserve Warrant Accessions people and I dont want to tip my hand to my Reserve Career Counselor just yet. For now Id like to just figure out how I get this process started.

Any help is appreciated.
