Moral waiver processing times

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

Just submitted my packet at the end of last week. I submitted the packet and I am going to require 2 moral waivers for incidents that happened over 8 years ago. One is a gimme imo, but the other is no guarantee to get. Anyways, my question for those with moral waivers is how early did you submit your moral waivers before they got processed?

I'm not expecting to get my waivers approved for the March board although that would be nice. I hope to be good for the May board at least. I'm AD if that helps.

I had two waivers as well. One moral and one for time left on contact.

Submitted my package on the initial deadline in July (September board). My waivers processed the Friday before the board began. I would call every few days all stressed out feeling that I was going to miss the board. But turns out they dont process waivers until the week before the board.

So call your recruiter end of the day on Friday and you will know if you will be boarded or not.

Your waivers seemed to process pretty quickly then compared to what I've read.

The USAREC Warrant officer page has two different pages that say two different things. One says that packets must be submitted well before the new packet deadline. Another page says that the packet just needs to be submitted within the prescribed waiver timeline from the first day of the desired board. It's somewhat confusing. I'm hoping for the latter because if that's the case then there's a good chance my waiver(s) will be approved/denied by the March board.

when I was waiting forever for my waivers to process I called up usarec and they told me that they don't even look at them till the week prior to the board. so you should be fine.
