My packet is about 90% done, and when I was looking around on the WO recruiting page earlier, I discovered the change to the AFS. With 11 years TIS, it looks like I'll be requiring a waiver now.

Any tips on the memo? I think my packet looks pretty decent as it is, so I'm hoping that'll help, but I'm not 100% on the routing chain or approval process for the waiver either.

Your waivers need to be submitted with your packet. If it gets approved, your packet will be forwarded to the board. If it doesnt get Approved, the board will never see your packet. The example is on the sample packet on the website. Mine was no more than 3 paragraphs long and it explained why I want to be a WO/aviator ,why I waited to submit my packet, and what I will bring to the cohort if excepted. It should be well written and the memo format should be followed. Dont give them a sob story. Be honest but be sure to explain how your TIS is an asset, not a liability.

So that being said, if I submit my packet at the end of this month for the Sep board (July cutoff), I should in theory be fine (timeline wise) to find out whether or not my waiver gets approved or not?

Yes that should be plenty of time to get everything complete and board ready
