ActuallyChad
Hey all, after a brief break from my packet Im jumping back into it full speed. Got two questions for now. Im right outside of Ft. Sill and there are no flight surgeons here. Do I have to wait for my recruiter to call up a flight surgeon to drive here for my physical or could I drive to get it done elsewhere as a walk-in? Also, Altus and Sheppard AFBs are both within an hour drive from me. Could I go to an AF flight surgeon and have them stamp the physical and send it to Rucker? Thanks! rams2495
Yes you can. The options for to accomplish the physical should be under the sister service guidance
parking
It varies from base to base, but if you're going to a sister-service flight doc, make sure you prearrange and/or give more lead time than you think for them to complete. My AF flight doc had never done one and were at first unsure if they are allowed to. It was a pain to try to get through the front desk folks at Flight Medicine that you could complete it so. DakotaDethklok
See if there are any Army NG Aviation units nearby.Chances are they have their own flight surgeon and can get you taken care of. Being Army, they are used to working with Rucker Aeromed. Thats what Im doing since Im on recruiting duty and a hot minute from any active installation.
