Hi,

I've been looking into getting into some sort of pilot school to fly, for my career. I have looked into a few schools in Colorado, seeing as how that is where I'm from. I need some advice. The schools I have looked into are Silver State Helicopeters in Pueblo, and Premier Helicopters out of Bloomfield. Both look like schools where I could get my CFII and begin flying as a professional helicopter pilot. I just dont know where to go, or what to ask to make up my mind. If anyone has any thoughts on either school or knows of any other possible school to look at, or if anyone can give me a good idea of what to ask each school to try to give me a better idea of what to look for it would be very greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Wow, seems like a lot of people have been asking this very question recently. Go back and read some of the other posts about choosing a flight school.

After that, read this.

Keep in mind that it was written for airplanes, so any hard numbers are probably wrong. But most of the article is pertinent. After you search the previous posts, and read that ask us your questions.

I'm not being rude...but this has been discussed so many times, so the information is already there, just do a little searching. B)

I am in the same boat...Everything that I have read says to do as much research and visit as many schools as you can. Check out this website... I have found these articles to be very helpful in my research.

As for Siver State Helicopters, be careful and do some research on the forums. I am not attending there for several reasons. They sound great, but do some homework first. I think you'll be surprised at what you'll find. Good Luck.

Hey Wanna Be,

Like PhotoFlyer said....Do The Research! ... as someone mentioned to someone the other day... If you can't find a school, how do you ever expect to find a job... Harsh, but somewhat true, and no I'm not being mean, just trying to help... I've found from my short stay here so far that this isn't an easy world, but if it's what you love doing then go for it, it will be worth it. I've spent months now researching this, and I am excited where it is leading me... but I still have a long way to go... As far as the link that X2 gave you, well, you might find some helpfull stuff there, but there is more negative and detrimental(spell?) feedback then anything at that site and it far outways any good you will get there. Good luck.

Jake
