helomanaz
Hello everyone, I am currentley working on finishing up my flight training. I dont think I have enough money to go all the way through CFII. Therefore I dont know if I will be able to instruct at the school I attend. To top it off I am About to deploy to Iraq for 18 months. I was wondering if anyone knows of any jobs in the Southwestern United States for low time pilots with R22 expierence? Any and all help and suggestions would be greatley appreciated. I think some companies have a policy where you have to have X amount of hours within the past 12 months to show how proficient you are. Also, don't you have to have a minimum of 200 hours to instruct in Robbies? Although a simple checkride with the school might be all you need. I guess it just depends.. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Be safe on your deployment and God bless what you people do,- Robert Edited December 11, 2005 by Rob2k

Rob2k
I was wondering about jobs other than flight instruction. Any suggestions out ther in rotor-land? Try looking up photo flights. I'm not sure of any off the top of my head, but I hear being a photo pilot is a good way to add some time.

IAV8
Hi Helomanaz, The 18 mo. deployment is going to hurt you no doubt about it. You have come this far I suggest if at all possible beg or borrow if you have to but get that cfi. It will be easier for you to get a job but beyond thatYou will learn more about flying helicopters teaching then any other low timer job out their. If the cfi really isn’t an option I would look at tuna boat pilot job S. America. Good Luck

If he isnt a graduate of IERW and the instructor pilot course for that units airframe he isnt instructing anybody in any military service no matter what civilan ratings he had.
