Yes there is a guy named Reese Kelso out in Gastonia. He has been flying them for years and is also an A&P. He has every tool required to do just about anything on these ships. He rebuilds them from the ground up as well. I think he calls himself "North Carolina Helicopters" I also think this is his number: 704-629-4677. If that is not it, drop me a line @ Jtravis1@carolina.rr.com and I can get it.

Anyone know of a mechanic specializing in Hughes 269/300s in the Charlotte, NC area? I have a McCulloch J-2 gyroplane but it uses a 269 head and I need some maintenance. Thanks.

Thanks loads. I've been working out in Gastonia, so I'll look him up. I really appreciate the lead.

I found him doing a search. The only thing is that it appears that he only has a 25' by 25' helipad. I could probably get in, but I'd have a heck of a time getting out. Maybe he has a road or something next to him. The phone number was correct. Thanks again.
