Heli-Ops
When you land at sites that have people around them but dont have a crewie there to help you, whats your normal way of doing things to ensure you dont have anyone walk into your blades or tail rotor. nardoo
Try not to overfly them on app and dep, land facing them so they cant sneak up on your 6, stay alert and expect them to do something stupid!Did I miss anything?
Guest
I do the same as nardoo plus I try to put my tail over something that people are not willing to walk over such as a pond, mud, cliff... hanging the tail over a cliff, the edge of a body of water, or something not walkable is usually a really good way to keep people from walking into the tail. There's no guarantees though. I've seen guys wading through the water that I put the tail over even though there was a dry area to the front of the helicopter. Natural selection I think... Guest
Sure is! We must have gone to different high schools together! Problem with the tail over the water thing is: Here in Arizona there isn't any water!
