One thing I have learned in many years of college and medical tests;

 

always pick out the key words, as lots of you know, the always, never, first, last, shoulds, onlys, excepts, and a few others.

 

also, statistically, answer B in multiple choice is the correct answer more than all of the others.

 

another tip is when answering multiple choice. USUALLY, if two answers are saying pretty much the same thing, in a round about way, or very closely related, you can throw those two answers out. If two of the four answers are polar opposites, the answer is usually one of those two.

 

and always find exactly what the question is asking and pick not just one of the correct answer, but pick the answer that is most correct. most being the key word/.....

Still learning here so don't be too surprised if I am way off. I numbered it every 5th time as it's easier on me and if you get lost it should be pretty easy to find the answer.

My answer: Both A and B

 

 

And IF the oil pump in this case is for hydraulics powered by the M/R transmission?-then C is correct also

And IF the alternator is driven by transmission too?-then D is also correct

 

This question is worded typical of FAA questions, it sometimes can appear to have TWO or more correct answers, the key to remember tho & orient your thinking while taking these type of tests is: Which answer is "more correct",,,, sounds silly i know, but thats the way it is. :blink:

 

Sometimes logic helps to weed out the more correct answer too,,,,think of the answers in this way: "now why would one design a helicopter drive train system so that when the engine quits, the main rotor locks up too, but still allows the tail rotor to spin?" :unsure:

 

A is correct, but B is more correct. ;)
