skier
If I go up in a plane with somebody who is not a CFI but lets me take control of the aircraft for a short period of time can I log the time? It wouldn't be Dual recieved, or PIC, but could I log it under total duration of flight? This question is actually directed towards a fixed wing. Flying Pig
Nope. You have to be appropriately rated for the aircraft.
flingwing206
You can log what you want, but it won't be applicable toward any rating, recency-of-experience requirement, or insurance minimums. So really it would just be a number in a logbook that will cause confusion and possibly trouble down the road. Best to just enjoy the flight!
