Just wondering from the actives what the roundabout PFT scores are for pilots and what people usually get, especially on the 2-mile run. Thanks a bunch!

Ha. 180 points is passing... It really all depends on YOU. For flight school, it counts for your AD OML (Order of Merit List)... Other than that, they just want you to pass at Rucker. After Rucker, you will need good scores... Depending on your commander. On the other hand, you don't want to fail it, so make sure you are more than good to go, especially for WOCS. You can find the points scale online, pretty sure at army.mil or possibly at military.com

I managed to get in the door with a 240- 15:30 run, 76 situps and 50 pushups. That said, that was a baseline for me, since I had not been running for quite a while and pushups were new to me (Marines do pullups for the PFT).

I'd like to add at least 10 pushups and knock a minute off my run time by the time I'm done with WOCS. Of course, it would also have been nice to get those last two situps, but that was more a matter of form than strength- the rules are slightly different between the services so several of mine didn't get counted. I'm actually lucky I didn't get terminated. Just something to work on.

My other worry is going from England's cool, dry air to Alabama's very not cool, very not dry air. I should have a wintertime report date though, so that will help.

helo, in WOCS, if YOU want to, you will loose some weight and increase your PT score... My class went to the gym alot, my score got a little better, but I was playing volleyball all the time, not really working out. You will do just fine though. The one thing, in WOCS, you will run a lot, which I'm sure you are used to.

The only reason I wanted a 300ish is to be exempt from PT. Our company has a policy that if you score higher than a 290, you're exempt....or you can just take the WO option and not show up....but then again that depends on your LT's and Commander.
