Looking for a new riding partner since my old partner decided to get a job in PA. Don't care what you ride if you don't care what I ride, I just want to ride (and talk helicopters{not while riding }). Besides, riding is more fun when you can share with a kindred spirit. Stopped by Gomer Pylot's base to finally meet him, but sign said restricted and no one was outside so I didn't go on the property. My bike averaged 51.89 miles per gallon! mechanic Posted May 17, 2008 Report Share Posted May 17, 2008 Well,Scratch that, sold my bike tonight. I also quit flight school. I am putting flying on hold. My oldest is graduating this May and wants to head off to college. We also found out my dad has cancer, we don't know how bad it is yet. Hang in there, and please don't give up your dream. I hope your father will be ok, been through similiar and at the end of the day, realized that looking forward to completing one dream is a good thing. But, getting time off to go train is another story. Training schools are a pretty good drive for me to get to. I also turned down/delayed a better job out of state because of my dad's condition, until we find out how bad/far the cancer is and treatment options. I hope your dad comes out ok and that your family is ok..Cancer is not a one person target, it hits everyone the cancer patient knows/loves/who loves him or her. Please hang in there, and if you need anything, let me know.
